I came here in Christmas morning for an 11:30 show. This is the only location in the Twin Cities area showing "If Beale Street could talk." the bathrooms were super clean, however they are in the second floor with no elevator in sight--making it a difficult trip for my 73 year old mother. The theater itself was clean and the sound quality, while not the best, was sufficient for this movie. There was a long line for both tickets and concessions. I can attribute that to it being a holiday. However, another employee came running down the stairs to help but ended up literally only taking 1 order before moving on. So much for great customer service. Parking costs are pretty similar to the rest of Uptown. We ended up paying $7 for the movie ticket and $10.50 for the parking costs (for 2-3 hours).
The Lagoon is my favorite theatre in the south Minneapolis area. It’s clean, and the customer service is fantastic. Kallie (sp?) was exceptionally kind and helpful and personable during my show today.
Pretty basic dated movie theater... Uncomfortable seating. Free parking is non-existent so be ready to park in the ramp adjacent to the cinema.
Came here for the first time for an evening showing of Poor Things here. It's a great little theatre and the people working here were kind. It's nice to have a theatre in Uptown.
first time going here, my boyfriend & I brought our kids (4&5) to see the new spiderman movie. nice, cute little theatre. :)
Fun little movie theatre that plays more obscure showings. Went there for Saltburn and Bottoms. Good prices.
Seeing maestro there was an awesome experience. Very powerful. Treats were giod too
The theater is quiet and low key. Great mix of art films, foreign films and popular blockbusters. Staff is relaxed, friendly and welcoming.
Space needs a major decorating update starting either the carpets.

I went to this theater twice, the first time was not the best experience but I decided to give it a second chance just in case it was a one time thing. Turns out it still sucked.
The volume in the theater was deafening. I ended up leaving only 20 minutes into the little mermaid because it was hurting my ears.
Also as a side note to management:
The person working the counter for the 4pm showing of the little mermaid on May 25th 2023– they never smiled once in the three interactions I had with them and overall made it super uncomfortable to ask about showing times, to buy a ticket and to get a second candy (which they got wrong) Like I get if they don’t like their job but please don’t be so unfriendly to people. It costs nothing to be nice.
Movies are expensive and normally totally worth the investment, but in this case, future movie goers have a heads up— I’d save yourself the hassle and go to a different theater.
